Install spotlight: a third Prestige Pro red light bed, this one in a Vermont rec room

Wood panelling, a dartboard on the wall, a floor the family already uses. This one is not a clinic and not a studio — it is a lower-level rec room in a Vermont house, and it is where the third Prestige Pro Modular 9-Wavelength Red Light Therapy Bed for this owner went in.

Why the modular frame mattered here

The room sits at the bottom of a set of interior stairs. A single-piece bed of this footprint does not make that trip. The Prestige Pro ships as two frame halves plus a powered canopy column, so the crew carried it down in sections and assembled it in place. Once together, the base rides on locking casters, which means the bed can be rolled clear when the room is needed for something else — a real consideration in a shared family space rather than a dedicated treatment room.

The canopy column

The powered column lifts the upper canopy well above the base so getting in and out is straightforward, then lowers it to treatment distance for the session. That single motion is what makes a full-coverage bed practical in a residential ceiling height — you are not squeezing under a fixed canopy.

Power and controls

Two dedicated circuits, 20A at 110–120V AC. Sessions are driven from the onboard touchscreen, which shows the running program and remaining time; the bed also pairs over Bluetooth for app control.
